Frequently Asked Questions

Is there anything I should do to prepare for my scan?
1. Drink water
For early pregnancy scans between 12-16 weeks, we recommend having a full bladder—it really helps us see your baby more clearly and capture those precious first moments.
Once you’re 20 weeks and beyond, there’s no need to worry about a full bladder, but keeping yourself well-hydrated throughout the day will help us create the clearest, most beautiful images of your little one.
2. Wear comfortable clothing -
Wear something that makes you feel relaxed and allows easy access to your belly.
3. Arrive a little early -
Please allow a little extra time for parking and getting settled so you’re ready to enjoy your special moment.
When is the best time for a 3D/4D ultrasound?
The sweetest time to see your baby’s little features is usually between 26 and 32 weeks—this is when their face is more developed and there's still plenty of fluid for those beautifully clear images.
That said, we welcome you at any stage from 14 to 34 weeks, and each visit has its own special kind of magic.
Can I bring my family and friends?
Absolutely! We love when families share in these precious moments. You're more than welcome to bring your loved ones along—our space is cozy and welcoming, with room for up to 10 guests to join in the joy.
Do I need to book in my SnuggleScan?
Yes, appointments are essential to ensure we give you the best experience, so we warmly encourage booking early to secure your preferred time.
How soon can I book a SnuggleScan?
We encourage you to book early so you can secure the date and time that feels just right for you.
Do I need a referral? Are Scans covered by Medicare or Private Health Insurance?
No referral is needed—our scans are a special, extra experience meant to complement your regular medical checkups, giving you beautiful moments to enjoy and remember.
As our scans are non-diagnostic, they are not covered by Medicare or Private Health Insurance.
